Architectural Structural Framing

AESS, or Architecturally-Exposed Structural Steel, and Architecturally-Exposed Structural Aluminum refers to structural framing components that are intentionally left visible as a design feature. Unlike traditional structural framing that is hidden behind walls or finishes, AESS and aluminum are showcased to contribute to the aesthetics of the structure. This approach typically requires careful planning and craftsmanship, as elements like connections and welds are intentionally designed to be seen. Columns, beams, rafters, and trusses are specially fabricated and finished to be clean, smooth, and free of defects that would detract from the aesthetic quality. This includes additional steps like grinding, sanding, and painting or using other high performance coatings to ensure the visual appeal. The specific level of finish is classified into four different categories based on the degree of visual detailing desired. These categories can range from basic exposure to the most intricate detailing. The higher the category, the more attention is given to the appearance, finish, and detail of the framing. Our architectural structural framing services are turnkey so we can design, engineer, fabricate and erect your next project. Whether it's a custom canopy or a shade structure, we blend form and function into a visually impactful structure.

Custom Metal Fabrication

Custom metal fabrication is the core of what we do here at Inofab. From rolling and bending stainless steel to forming and finishing aluminum, we can produce decorative metalwork or structural components for projects of all sizes.

Our Custom Metal Fabrication Services Include:

  • Pipe Bending
  • Section Rolling
  • Sheet Metal & Plate Bending
  • Cutting, Coping, & Punching
  • Aluminum & Stainless Steel Welding

Architectural products, such as ornamental railing and staircases, require a higher level of precision during the fabrication process. Our team of certified welders have the experience necessary to produce quality parts and components time and time again.

Once fabrication is complete, we can also finish the product with our in-house, factory finishing process. We offer multipart epoxy paints as well as high-performance fluoropolymer coatings to keep the finished product looking great for years to come.

Specialty Glazing

Overhead and vertical glazing has become a diverse and complex industry. With numerous factors to consider, the proper decision can often prove to be a difficult one. We explain the pro's and con's of each option and help you make the best possible decision based on the application.

Canopies, translucent wall systems, and skylights offer daylighting solutions which utilize natural light to illuminate interior or covered spaces, minimizing the need for electric lighting. These high performance systems can be put together using our proprietary framing systems in conjunction with various glazing options, such as laminated glass and multiwall polycarbonate.

Whether you need structured polycarbonate assemblies or a point supported glass system, let us help you through the process. We'll examine the possibilities and provide you with the best solution for your needs.

Waterjet Cutting

Waterjet cutting is a precise and efficient method of cutting a variety of materials using high-pressure water mixed with an abrasive substance, creating intricate patterns and custom designs.

Unlike traditional methods, like laser or plasma cutting, a waterjet does not create heat during the cutting process, ensuring there is no thermal distortion or change in the material properties. This allows for tight tolerances and fine detail without warpage.

It is also capable of cutting through thick materials while producing a smooth, clean edge, reducing the need for secondary finishing processes like grinding or polishing, in turn, saving time and money. This accuracy and efficiency makes a waterjet the perfect tool to produce precision parts and components for production or prototype applications.
